Thomson Protective Coatings offer a full range of surface preparation, protective coatings, scaffolding and steel repairs. We are also able to provide de-vegetation and civil engineering expertise. We are well used to working within the constraints of the railway environment such as possession times and limited access.

BUND LININGS & REPAIRS

Secondary containment systems are crucial aspect of a tank lining system. Thomson Protective Coatings can apply a wide range of resin-based linings and coatings, from epoxy coating systems to glass fiber-based GRP linings which offer a seamless, chemical and temperature-stable barrier to protect your bund from tank ruptures, leaks, weathering and corrosion.

TANK LININGS

Thomson Protective Coatings capabilities of abrasive blasting and lining / coating services can be provided for any tank fabricator or contractor. Our teams are equipped to have the flexibility to mobilise anywhere in the UK or internationally to meet our client’s needs.  This enables our site teams to provide top quality  coatings and linings on new or existing storage tanks of all shapes and sizes.

PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION

Our experience includes applying thin film intumescent coatings for cellulosic fires. We work closely with our key supply chain partners to provide the most cost effective, efficient and technically compatible fire protection solutions on the market.

ENERGY

Thomson Protective Coatings have an experienced, multi-disciplinary team with strong management experience in providing industrial service solutions to several market sectors. We have previous experience of a wide range of projects and contracts within the energy sector, ranging from minor works to large scale maintenance and rejuvenation campaigns and frameworks.

UTILITIES

Thomson Protective Coatings are accredited to Achilles UVDB enabling us to work in the Utilities sector.  We fully understand the HSQE implications of undertaking works in this sector. Within the team we have previous experience of successfully delivering works with various gas networks. 

LOCAL AUTHORITIES

Almost every day Thomson Protective Coatings send out teams of operatives working with contractors in partnership with clients such as Birmingham City Council to paint key pieces of street furniture. Our teams have vast experience in this type of work and we are able to offer a dedicated, experienced workforce. 

FLOORING

Thomson Protective Coatings apply  epoxy and polyurethane resin floor coatings. These systems are different from the resin coatings in so far as they are much thicker and therefore longer lasting than coatings. Their appearance is that of a much smoother floor surface.
